Babysitters Ratings System Information for Parents
Nannies and babysitters can be rated by parents on The Best Babysitters, sharing valuable information. Here are further details about our ratings system:
Background:
The Best Babysitters has designed a ratings system to allow the community of parents to share feedback with each other about babysitters and nannies. We believe in providing a ratings system that will serve all parents, nannies and babysitters on the site. Parents can post a rating (out of 5 stars) and make a short comment about babysitters or nannies they have used. The carers are notified about the rating. They can then post a reply online. Parents are also able to delete a rating if they choose to.
Leaving a rating (parents):
To leave a rating, parents log on to The Best Babysitters site by using their email and password. This will open their dashboard, with a list of sitters and nannies they have messaged. The parent can click on the sitter's name or profile image from their list and this will open the sitter’s profile. At the end of the profile page there is a section for sharing a rating.
Reply to a rating (babysitters):
Babysitters and nannies will be notified that a rating has been given for them. To see the rating, babysitters can login to their account using their email and password. When they open their profile they’ll see a "My Reviews" section at the end of the profile. If they choose to reply they can do so here.
Removing a rating:
A rating can be deleted by the parent who wrote it. To do this, parents login to their account page. At the end of their Dashboard page is a section listing the ratings they’ve written. Next to the rating is a ‘delete’ icon. The entire rating and reply will be deleted.
Terms of Use:
The "Terms of Use" of The Best Babysitters state how the site is used by members. This covers the publishing of ratings (by Parents) and replies (by Babysitters). Responsibility for what is posted online lies with each user. Every site member is personally responsible for any comments they post. As stated in the "Terms of Use" members must not post any information that is false, inaccurate or misleading, defamatory, libelous, threatening or intimidating. We retain the right to cancel the membership of any member who we believe has violated the "Terms of Use" of The Best Babysitters.
The Best Babysitters role:
The Best Babysitters does not intervene in the ratings system or member disputes. The Best Babysitters does not take responsibility for the accuracy or quality of information that members post on the site. The Best Babysitters is not legally responsible for comments made by members. However, as stated in our "Terms of Use", The Best Babysitters reserves the right to edit, refuse to post, or remove any information or material it deems inappropriate. The Best Babysitters will remove any comments we believe are unacceptable. We expect parents and sitters to use caution, good judgment and honesty when posting ratings or replies.
Dispute resolution:
As stated in our "Terms of Use", in the event that You have a dispute with another Site Member you will need to personally negotiate the resolution of that dispute. The Best Babysitters does not take responsibility for mediating between parties who disagree with the ratings and replies. The Best Babysitters encourages all parties to contact each other directly to discuss and resolve any issues.
