I am now an empty nester and I am realizing how deafening the sound of “quiet" really is. I am a mother to 3 exceptional young adults, who are all succeeding in college. They are loving, empathetic, confident, self-sufficient, and engaging. However, I am missing sounds of the pitter patter of feet, the daily interactions, the giggles, dinners together, weekend brunches, the late night bake offs, helping with homework, driving and watching/supporting after school sports events, the sound of the TV from watching various movies/ shows, and the list goes on! Because of all the extra time I have now, I thought I would break the silence and post my skills, talents, and my hours in hopes to make myself useful to another family. I am a very hands on person, adventurous, I am extremely patient, I love to do activities together, and I can take good direction. Not only am I great mother, but also I am an excellent nurse with 20+ years of experience. I am ACLS/BLS certified. I have worked in both the clinical arena, as well as in the academia setting; having taught Maternal Child, Medical/Surgical, and Community Nursing with an emphasis on Home Health & Hospice in a baccalaureate program. I am ready for anything and I am comfortable with any age level. I have done a ton of babysitting when I was younger and was even a nanny, while I was in my undergrad. I have a clean driving record and an unencumbered nursing license. I do work full-time as a nurse, Monday through Fridays and I am usually finished around 3:00-3:15pm. I am flexible after work, in the evenings during the week, and totally available on the weekends!
