Meet Kyra: A nanny and babysitter in Bowie, MD

Hii, I’m Kyra! I’ve been babysitting practically all my life because of my younger siblings from age 1-11, but outside of my siblings I’ve babysat kids ages 2-10. I graduated from Bethesda Chevy Chase High School and completed the Cosmetology Program at Thomas Edison HS of Technology. I currently go to Bowie State University where I’m majoring in Nursing. When babysitting, I enjoy doing any art related activities, hairstyling or braiding (if allowed), being in nature, being playful and fun, watching movies, and reading. I was previously a lifeguard during the summer, so I’m CPR certified, first aid certified, and still obtain my lifeguard certification. I’m also willing to do a background check so their is trust and comfortability. My strengths are communicating, safety, patience, being empathetic, creative, responsible, being reliable, trustworthy, and lastly kind and friendly. I’m good at keeping children entertained, being creative with activities, and having fun! I enjoy babysitting because I love kids and knowing I can help give a parent peace of mind and flexibility to do whatever needs to be done. Additionally, it also aligns with what I aspire to do career wise and with what I’ve experienced growing up. My availability is flexible, I’m mainly free everyday of the week, except from the times of 11am-1pm from Mon-Fri when I’m in class. Thank you so much and I look forward to meeting you !
