Meet Mia: A nanny in Berkeley, CA

I worked at a daycare with kids aged 3-5, and it was such a rewarding experience. I loved being part of their day, whether it was leading storytime, helping them with art projects, or just being there to listen when they had something exciting to share. It taught me a lot about patience and how important it is to make each child feel heard and cared for.

On top of that, I’m also a big sister to a one-year-old. Helping take care of my sibling has given me a whole new appreciation for how much love and effort it takes to raise little ones. From feeding and changing diapers to calming them down when they’re upset, I’ve learned a lot about responsibility and how to handle the ups and downs that come with caring for a baby.

Both of these experiences have shaped how I approach working with kids—they’ve taught me to be patient, flexible, and present in the moment.
